Model RM24100D is a rail mount 2.4GHz radio modem to transmit and receive serial data. This module operates as a wireless serial cable in the licence-free 2.4GHz ISM band with line-of-sight communications up to 1km. Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum radio technology makes for reliable communications in electrically noisy environments. The RM24100D may be used in peer-to-peer, point-to-point or point-to-multipoint networks. These units are housed in rail mount polymide housings and are supplied with 2.1dBi dipole antennae. The radios meet CE and C-Tick EMC and EMI requirements and are configurable to limit the maximum transmit power output level.
RM24100D wireless serial modems are also ideal for use with Instrotech digital indicators and large digit displays. Large displays may be used to repeat data transmitted from remote panel meters or used as slaves displaying data from computers or PLC's with serial output.
