STRAIN GAUGE DISPLAY
Model 4004 is a 4 digit (-1999 to 9999) LED Load Cell Indicator designed for mV inputs from load cells, strain gauges and strain gauge pressure transmitters. The stable bridge excitation voltage includes sense feedback to compensate for line variations. The precision measuring front-end circuit ensures high accuracy and stability. A digital filtering feature allows for stable displays in noisy systems. Options include programmable analog output, alarm setpoints up to 4 relays, peak or valley hold, RS232 or RS485 communications, and many more.
A feature of this programmable indicator / controller is the calibration method. The instrument may be pre-calibrated without load cell connections for zero and full scale values, and then on-site calibration may be done for deadweight offset and span calibration (single point test weight trim). This instrument meets EMC and EMI and Low Voltage directives.

The alphanumeric keypad allows users to enter tag numbers, calibration date, technician's name, and a host of other options. Relays may be configured as on/off, annunciators, fault or pulse counting outputs, with hysteresis and time delays. The 4 function buttons may be configured to toggle displays, to tare, or to change or accept alarms.
This unit incorporates PI control to allow the output to be used directly for load cell control or flow rate control. A special feature is the simulator, which allows analogue output and relay control to be simulated during system commissioning. A 15-point lineariser, min/max display hold, preset tare and auto-zero maintenance are all user selectable and programmable. The many functions, digital inputs and optional methods of setup are fully explained in the comprehensive operating manual.
